The Garrett County Sheriff’s Office has identified the individual who has been going to different residences in the area attempting to sell items.
Sheriff Meyers urges residents, to not let strangers into their homes, and don’t buy items from individuals unless they have proper licensing, and have pre-scheduled appointments.
These individuals use various techniques to try and get into your homes such as selling vacuum cleaners, selling meat, offering cleaning services, or other means to try to gain access to your home.
Do not let strangers enter your home, use safety precautions, obtain tag numbers and vehicle descriptions, and notify local authorities.
