Sheriff Meyers and the staff of the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office would like to congratulate Doug Bernard who was recently recognized as the Garrett County Detention Center’s Outstanding Employee for the 4th Quarter of 2023. Doug Bernard is a certified Correctional Officer who is responsible for all maintenance repairs within the Detention Center and Sheriff’s Office. Doug recently worked with contractors on an energy savings project within the Detention Center that lasted over 8-weeks while also handling all his other daily assignments. Doug is an asset to the Sheriff’s Office taking pride in all that he does. Doug has been employed with the Garrett County Detention Center for 17 years.
