Two Arrested for Possession of Fentanyl

From the Desk of Sheriff Bryson Meyers: 

On September 30, 2026, the Garrett County Narcotics Task Force, with the assistance of the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office and the Maryland State Police, conducted a traffic stop in Deer Park, Maryland. During the traffic stop, probable cause was established to search the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the recovery of a quantity of fentanyl and methamphetamine. 

As a result of the investigation, the following individuals were arrested and charged: 

Dana Marie Stemple, 40, of Swanton, Maryland 

• Possession of Methamphetamine 
• Possession of Fentanyl 

Jeremiah Michael Ervin, 43, of Oakland, Maryland 

• Possession of Fentanyl 

Stemple and Ervin were transported to the Garrett County Detention Center for bond hearings. The Garrett County Narcotics Task Force is a cooperative enforcement effort between the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office, the Maryland State Police, and the Garrett County State’s Attorney’s Office.
