Three Arrested for Drug and Other Charges

From the desk of Sheriff Bryson Meyers: 

On September 29, 2026, around 10:30 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle along Memorial Drive for traffic violations. During the course of the traffic stop a Sheriff’s Office K-9 was utilized and conducted a scan of the vehicle, which resulted in a positive alert. A search of the vehicle and occupants was conducted which resulted in the recovery of Fentanyl, Buprenorphine, drug paraphernalia, and ammunition. 

The following individuals were arrested: 
• Brodie Scott Hoover, 45 years old, Keyser - Possession of Fentanyl, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Ammunition while being a Prohibited Person, Providing a false name. 
• Charles Robert Herath, 39 years old, Frostburg - Possession of Fentanyl, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Buprenorphine. 
• Jennifer Lee Sleasman, 41 years old, Lonaconing. - Possession of Fentanyl, Possession of Paraphernalia. 

Hoover, Herath, and Sleasman were all arrested and transported to the Garrett County Detention Center pending bond hearings.
