On September 5, 2026, around 9:00 pm, deputies responded to the Oakland McDonald’s along Third Street for an individual in the drive through in a vehicle causing a disturbance and pounding on the drive through windows. As a result of the investigation, deputies arrested Derek Charles Everd, 46 years old, Oakland, for Driving Under the Influence and related charges. Everd was later released after signing the appropriate citations.
