On July 7, 2026, around 11:50 p.m., deputies located a vehicle parked in the middle of Oakland Sang Run Road. As a result of the investigation, deputies arrested Vijay Jagu Patel, 57 years old, for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and related traffic charges. Patel was transported to the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office and later released after signing the appropriate citations.
