On June 6, 2026, around 10:15 pm, deputies stopped a vehicle along Sand Flat Road for traffic violations. As a result of the traffic stop and investigation, Joseph Paul McClosky, 26 years old, Oakland, was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and related traffic charges. McClosky was transported to the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office and was later released after signing the citations.
