On June 16, 2026, around 5:30 p.m., deputies responded to the 12000 block of Garrett Highway for a reported hit and run. After obtaining the description of the vehicle that fled the scene deputies located the vehicle in a parking lot along Fourth Street in Oakland.
Deputes made contact with the driver Ty Kendall Miller, 31 years old, Mountain Lake Park. During the course of the investigation, a Sheriff’s Office K-9 was utilized and conducted a K-9 scan of the vehicle and obtained a positive alert.
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a quantity of methamphetamine and related paraphernalia. Miller was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, and paraphernalia, as well as being issued citations for the hit and run accident.
Miller was transported to the Garrett County Detention Center where he was released on his own recognizance after appearing before a District Court Commissioner.
