Grantsville Woman Arrested for Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine

From the desk of Sheriff Bryson Meyers: 

On June 10, 2026, the Garrett County Narcotics Task Force, with the assistance of the Maryland State Police conducted a traffic stop in Grantsville, MD. During the stop, a Maryland State Police K-9 was utilized and conducted a K-9 scan of the vehicle, resulting in positive alert. A subsequent search led to the recovery of approximately 7.6 grams of methamphetamine. 

As a result of the investigation, the following individual was arrested and charged: 

• Kayla Ashley Holt, 37, Grantsville - Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and Possession of Methamphetamine. 

Holt was transported to the Garrett County Detention Center pending a bond hearing. The Garrett County Narcotics Task Force is a cooperative enforcement effort between the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office, the Maryland State Police, and the Garrett County State’s Attorney Office.
