On May 10, 2026, deputies stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. The passenger in the vehicle, Jacklyn Ann Eckard, 28 years old, Dayton, Virginia, was arrested on the strength of an arrest warrant from the Harrisonburg, Virginia, Police Department for 3 counts of Making a False Application for Public Assistance. Eckard was transported to the Garrett County Detention Center awaiting extradition to Virginia.
