On May 9, 2026, deputies stopped a vehicle along Old Wilson Road. The driver, Jason Wayne Hale Jr, 27 years old, Swanton, was placed under arrest on the strength of a District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear. Hale was transported to the District Court Commissioners Office where he was released on his own recognizance.
