From the desk of Sheriff Bryson Meyers:
On May 10, 2026, deputies arrested Donald Ray Moats, 46 years old, Swanton, on the strength of a Bench Warrant from Preston County, West Virginia. A search of Moats revealed a quantity of methamphetamine. Moats was subsequently charged with Possession of Methamphetamine as well as being arrested on the warrant from Preston County. Moats was transported to the Garrett County Detention Center where he is currently being held pending extradition to West Virginia.
