From the desk of Sheriff Bryson Meyers:
On May 4, 2026, Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division obtained an arrest warrant for David Dale Collins II, 42 years old, Oakland, for violations of Maryland’s Sexual Offender Registration Status.
Deputies located and stopped Collins along Swanton Road near Painter School Road, and he was placed under arrest on the strength of the arrest warrant.
Collins was charged with the following:
• Failure to register as a Sexual Offender
Collins was transported to the Garrett County Detention Center where he is being held pending a bond hearing.
