From the desk of Sheriff Bryson Meyers:
On May 9, 2026, deputies responded to Wal-Mart for a reported theft. The investigation revealed that Edward Douglas Landon Jr., 54 years old, Mountain Lake Park, stole numerous items from the store totaling more than $300.00.
As a result of the investigation, deputies arrested Landon for theft. Landon was transported to the Garrett County Detention Center where he was later released on his own recognizance after appearing before a District Court Commissioner.
