On May 26, 2026, around 8:00 p.m., deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident along Hutton Road near Dilly Road. The vehicle ran off the roadway, striking the ditch and embankment. The driver, of the vehicle, Malakai Joseph Beane, 19 years old, Grantsville, suffered minor injuries as a result of the accident. Beane was charged by deputies with Driving Uninsured, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, displaying tags issued to another vehicle, displaying expired registration, and other related traffic violations. Beane was issued citations and released from the scene.
