On April 14, 2026, Detectives with the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, assisted by Patrol Deputies, Detectives with the Narcotics Task Force, Deputies with the Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Division, and the Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigator executed a Search Warrant along the 4000 block of North Third Street in Oakland.
The search warrant was obtained as a result of an investigation conducted by Detectives, Deputies, and Investigators with the Department of Social Services, Child Protective Services, relating to Child Neglect and Controlled Dangerous Substance Violations. As a result of the search and investigation, Detectives recovered Cocaine and Drug Paraphernalia, as well as noting the living conditions of the residence where minor children were residing.
Detectives arrested and charged the following:
• Megan Rachaell Ridenour, 32, of Oakland - Possession of Cocaine - Possession of Paraphernalia - Three counts of Child Neglect
• Shondell Menita Maria Mayne, 41, of Oakland - Possession of Cocaine - Possession of Paraphernalia - Three counts of Child Neglect
Ridenour and Mayne were transported to the Garrett County Detention Center where they are currently being held pending a bond hearing.
Sheriff Meyers stated, “ I commend the hard work and dedication of our detectives and deputies protecting the children of our community”. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are forthcoming.
