On March 30, 2026, deputies responded to the WEPCO Federal Credit Union along North Branch Avenue, Bloomington, for a motor vehicle theft. The investigation revealed that the suspect cut the chain and entered the impound lot at WEPCO and stole a 2021 Dodge Charger GT. On March 31, 2026, officers with the Fairmont City Police in West Virginia located and recovered the vehicle.
Through the investigation it was determined that Jahlyn Angel Morales, 21 years old, Piedmont, entered the impound lot and stole the vehicle. As a result, deputies obtained an arrest warrant for Morales, charging him with Motor Vehicle Theft. The investigation is continuing.
