Drug Arrest Following Traffic Stop
On March 31, 2026, around 8:40 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle along Swanton Hill Road for traffic violations. During the course of the traffic stop, a Sheriff’s Office K-9 was utilized and conducted a K-9 scan of the vehicle which resulted in a positive alert. A subsequent search of the vehicle and passenger resulted in the recovery of Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, and Paraphernalia.
As a result of the traffic the following individual was arrested and charged:
▪️Emiley Yvonne Capel, 30, Oakland
• Possession of Fentanyl
• Possession of Methamphetamine.
Capel was transported to the Garrett County Detention Center where she was later released on her own recognizance after appearing before a District Court Commissioner.
