From the desk of Sheriff Bryson Meyers:
On March 8, 2026, around 9:00 p.m., deputies responded to a trespassing complaint on Water Street. During the investigation, deputies located Scotty Dale Alexander, 48 years old, Oakland, on the property. Alexander was placed under arrest for trespassing as well as an outstanding warrant through West Virginia.
During the arrest a search of Alexander was conducted which revealed a quantity of Methamphetamine.
Alexander was charged with the following:
• Possession of Methamphetamine
• Trespassing
Alexander was transported to the Garrett County Detention Center, where he is currently being held pending a bond hearing.
