From the desk of Sheriff Bryson Meyers:
On March 5, 2026, at approximately 6:30 p.m., deputies responded to the area of Garrett Highway and Silver Knob Road for a reported motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, deputies observed that a vehicle had exited the roadway, struck a utility pole, and became stuck in a ditch.
As a result of the investigation, the following individual was arrested:
• Jonah David Adams, 22, of Aurora, West Virginia – Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol – Additional related traffic charges
Adams was transported to the Garrett County Detention Center, where he was later released on his own recognizance after appearing before a District Court Commissioner.
