From the desk of Sheriff Bryson Meyers:
On February 4, 2026, around 7:00 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle along Maryland Highway, in the area of the Deer Park Fire Hall for traffic violations. During the course of the traffic stop, a Sheriff’s Office K-9 was utilized, and a positive alert was obtained.
A search of the vehicle was conducted which resulted in the recovery of Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, and Paraphernalia.
As a result of the search:
▪️Jeremiah Michael Ervin, 42, of Deer Park, was arrested and charged with:
🔘Possession of Fentanyl
🔘Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
▪️Jesse Leo Calvin Tichinel, 19, of Mountain Lake Park, was arrested and charged with:
🔘Possession of Methamphetamine
🔘Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Both were transported to the Garrett County Detention Center, where they were later released on their own recognizance after appearing before a District Court Commissioner.
