On January 20, 2026, deputies stopped a vehicle along Gorman Road, for traffic violations. During the course of the traffic stop, deputies served a fugitive out of state arrest warrant on the driver of the vehicle, Robert Michael French, 43 years old, Oakland. The warrant was issued from Pueblo County, Colorado, for Failing to Register as a Sexual Offender. French was transported to the Garrett County Detention Center awaiting extradition back to Colorado.
