From the desk of Sheriff Bryson Meyers: On January 28, 2026, deputies arrested Daniel Lee Smith, 35 years old, Friendsville, on the strength of a Circuit Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear. Smith was transported to the Garrett County Detention Center, where he is being held pending a bond hearing.
