Deputies Seize $5,000 in Meth During Weber Road Stop; Oakland Man Arrested

From the desk of Sheriff Bryson Meyers: 

On September 17, 2025, around 7:00 p.m., deputies stopped a vehicle along Weber Road for traffic violations. During the course of the traffic stop, a K-9 scan of the vehicle was conducted utilizing a Sheriff's Office K-9, which resulted in a positive alert. A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of approximately 95 grams of Methamphetamine, having a street value of around $5,000.00, as well as Cocaine, Fentanyl, and related drug paraphernalia. The passenger in the vehicle, Kenneth James McMaster, 40 years old, Oakland, was arrested and charged with Possession With Intent To Distribute Methamphetamine In A School Zone, Possession With Intent To Distribute Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Fentanyl, and Possession of Paraphernalia. It was also learned that McMaster was wanted on an outstanding Bench Warrant in Garrett County. McMaster was arrested and transported to the Garrett County Detention Center, where he is currently awaiting a bond hearing. 

Sheriff Meyers stated, "Deputies will continue to work to remove illegal drugs from the streets and towns of Garrett County. I commend the deputies for their dedication, keeping Garrett County a safe place for our families."
