From the desk of Sheriff Bryson Meyers:
On August 7, 2025, Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, Detectives with the Narcotics Task Force, and Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies executed 3 search and seizure warrants at apartments located along the 800 block of Philadelphia Avenue, Mountain Lake Park. The investigation revealed that individuals had been “squatting” on the property and in the apartments, as well as utilizing the apartments as a place to store, use, and distribute controlled dangerous substances.
As a result of the search warrant, quantities of Methamphetamine, and Fentanyl were located. A further search revealed a possible explosive device (grenade). Oakland Volunteer Fire Department, Deer Park Fire Department, Southern Rescue Squad, and the Office of the Maryland State Marshal responded to the scene to assist. After further inspection by Officers with the Fire Marshal's Office, the grenade was determined to be inert.
As a result of the investigation, the following individuals were arrested and charged with the following crimes: Laura Lynn Kindle, 36 years old, Mountain Lake Park, Third Degree Burglary, Fourth Degree Burglary, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, and Possession of Methamphetamine; Kelly Renee Corby, 48 years old, Mountain Lake Park, Third Degree Burglary, Fourth Degree Burglary, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Fentanyl; Jonathan David Jones, 47 years old, Mountain Lake Park, Third Degree Burglary, Fourth Degree Burglary, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Fentanyl.
