From the desk of Sheriff Bryson Meyers:
During the month of July 2026, Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division conducted an investigation into Child Neglect at a residence along Bear Hill Road. During the course of the investigation, Detectives, Patrol Deputies, Deputies with the Sheriff’s Office Animal Control Division, and Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigator executed a Search and Seizure Warrant at the residence. Assistance was also provided by Child Protective Service Investigators with the Department of Social Services.
As a result of the investigation, Detectives obtained a criminal summons from the District Court Commissioner charging Lisa Sue Leydig, 37 years old, Grantsville, with 3 counts of Child Neglect. On October 19, 2026, Leydig was served with the criminal summons.
