The public is advised that from September 28, 2026 through October 2, 2026, the Garrett County Department of Public Works- Roads Division will be completing culvert installations throughout Mosser Road and Garrett Road. The Mosser Road closure will take place between Rush Services and Wagner Lane. During the hours of 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. these dates, temporary road closures will be necessary.
The public is reminded to be mindful of work progression during the planned daily temporary roadway closures. Motorists should increase awareness of temporary steel plates along the roadway and exercise caution near the construction areas.
Daily detour routes for Garrett Road include Fricks Crossing, Boiling Springs Road, Deer Park Hotel Road, and Gorman Road/Route 560. Detour routes for Mosser Road include Bumble Bee Road, Foy Road and Rock Lodge Road. Mosser Road to Route 219 will remain accessible from Rush Services entrance to Route 219.
