On June 7, 2026, around 9:45 pm, deputies responded to Thousand Acres Road for a motor vehicle accident, where the vehicle travelled off the roadway into a wooded area. As a result of the investigation, the driver of the vehicle, Landon Ray Bolden, 19 years old, Lonaconing, was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and related traffic charges. Bolden was transported to the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office and was later released after signing the citations.
