On April 24, 2026, around 3:15 deputies responded to Crellin Elementary School for a check on well-being of an individual passed out in a vehicle while waiting in the school pick up line.
As a result of the investigation, deputies arrested Sheena Marie Shiflett, 41 years old, Oakland, for Driving Under the Influence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, and related traffic charges.
Shiflett was transported to the Garrett County Detention Center where she was later released on her own recognizance after appearing before a District Court Commissioner.
