On January 14, 2026, deputies with the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office served a bench warrant on William Ray Whitacre Jr, 38 years old, Kitzmiller, for failing to comply with pre-trial conditions. Whitacre was transported to the Garrett County Detention Center and is beng held without bond.
