National Correctional Officers Week

Sheriff Meyers would like to recognize and thank the men and women who work at the Garrett County Detention Center. National Correctional Officers Week in 2025 is from May 4 to May 10. This week is dedicated to recognizing and thanking correctional officers for their service and dedication. It was established by President Ronald Reagan in 1984 to honor the vital contributions of correctional officers.
