From the desk of Sheriff Bryson Meyers:

On May 22, 2025, around 7:00 pm, deputies stopped a vehicle along the 8000 block of Friendsville Road for traffic violations, which led to Felony charges for Possession of Crack Cocaine. During the course of the traffic stop, a Sheriff’s Office K-9 was utilized and conducted a K-9 scan of the vehicle, resulting in a positive alert. A subsequent search of the vehicle and occupants by Deputies and Detectives with the Narcotics Task Force resulted in the recovery of approximately 17 grams of crack cocaine, having a street value of approximately $1,700.00, morphine, tramadol, and drug paraphernalia.

As a result, the following individuals were arrested and charged for the drug violations: Janice Louise Sweitzer, 51 years old, Deer Park, Possession with intent to Distribute Crack Cocaine, Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Morphine, Possession of Tramadol, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Michaela Lynn Warsaw, 30 years old, Oakland, Possession of Crack Cocaine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Brittney Leigh Ashby, 32 years old, Possession of Crack Cocaine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
