On February 24, 2025, Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division initiated an investigation into the Distribution of Obscene Material to a juvenile. Detectives and State's Attorney Christian Mash obtained an arrest warrant charging Curtis Allen Bowman, 37 years old, Mountain Lake Park with Distribution of Obscene Material. On February 25, 2025, deputies arrested Bowman on the strength of the arrest warrant. Bowman was transported to the Garrett County Detention Center, where he was later released on his own recognizance after appearing before a District Court Commissioner. Sheriff Meyers would like to thank the Detectives and State’s Attorney Mash for their investigation into this matter and for working together for a prompt outcome.
