Sheriff's Deputies Make April 18 Arrest

On April 18, 2024, Garrett County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted by members of the Garrett County Narcotics Task Force and stopped a vehicle along Hutton Road for traffic violations. During the traffic stop, a Sheriff’s Office K-9 was utilized and conducted a K-9 scan of the vehicle which resulted in a positive indication. A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of approximately 17 grams of Methamphetamine, having a street value of around $1,200.00. 

As a result of the investigation, detectives also seized a 2013 Chevy Equinox. The driver, Dalton Lee Miller, 26 years old, Mountain Lake Park, was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and Possession of Methamphetamine. Miller was transported to the Garrett County Detention Center and is currently being held on $10,000 bond after an initial appearance at the District Court Commissioner’s Office. 

The Garrett County Narcotics Task Force is a cooperative enforcement effort between the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office and the Garrett County State’s Attorney’s Office.
