During the month of September, Detectives with the Garrett County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division conducted an investigation relating to a sexual offense. As a result of the investigation and interviews, Detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging Nathan Eldridge Lucas, 30 years old, Mountain Lake Park, with Second Degree Rape, Third Degree Sex Offense, Fourth Degree Sex Offense, and Second Degree Assault.
On September 17, 2024, deputies arrested Lucas on the strength of the arrest warrant. Lucas is currently being held in the Garrett County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
